COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines at Ultimatewhalewatch & Snorkel

We are so happy to have you back adventuring with us in Maui! For the health and safety of our guests and crew we have created some guidelines listed below. These guidelines are subject to change as the state and county requirements change. Please check back for the most updated information.

Checking-In

Check in for your tour at the same location, Slip 17 Lahaina Harbor (or Mala Boat Ramp for some Private Boat Charters: see your confirmation email). When standing in line, please do your best to follow social distancing guidelines. We will have a plexiglass divider at our check in station and will be sanitizing pens between each use.

We will be using a no-touch thermometer to take the temperature of every guests prior to boarding. Although temperature is not a confirmed indicator of Covid-19, we are asking that any guests with a temperature of 100.2 and above does not partake in our tours. We will refund or reschedule any guests unable to participate.
After checking in, you will be given a boarding pass that is sanitized between each use. Please find a comfortable spot to wait until your boarding number is called.

Boarding

Board the vessel when your boarding pass number is called. Find a seat that will be comfortable for the duration of the tour and please respect social distancing between you and other parties on board as best as you can.
If you are uncomfortable with your seat selection, PLEASE TALK WITH THE CREW so we can do our best to meet everyone’s comfort needs.

During the Tour

Although the state is now allowing 100% capacity for vessels, we will continue to operates our boats at the reduced capacity of 75% for the comfort of our guests.

At this time, masks are not required on our vessels as an outdoor activity but they are encouraged.

Please respect social distancing for the duration of the tour. If you need to move seats, or move around on the vessel, please talk with your crew and captain so that can assist.

Our Safety and Health Protocols

All vessels will be cleaned and sanitized between every tour.
Snorkel gear will receive additional sanitation between uses.
Items such as pens and boarding passes, will be sanitized between each use.
All crew temperatures are taken prior to clocking in for their work day.
